Panvel polls 2026: BJP Mahayuti flexes muscle with massive bike rally in ward 14

PANVEL: With the Panvel Municipal Corporation elections heating up, the BJP-led Mahayuti on Tuesday put its organisational strength on full display by rolling out a massive bike rally in Ward No. 14, turning the area into a high-voltage campaign battleground.

The rally was held to drum up support for Mahayuti candidates Iqbal Kazi, Satish Patil, Renuka Netkar and Sarika Bhagat, as party leaders and workers flooded the streets in a clear show of unity and confidence ahead of the polls.

Addressing voters during the rally, Minorities Commission Chairman Haji Arafat Sheikh made a strong appeal to elect all four candidates with a decisive mandate, urging citizens to press the lotus symbol and strengthen the BJP Mahayuti’s position in the civic body.

Senior leaders including leader of the House Paresh Thakur, BJP Minority Morcha Maharashtra vice president Syed Akbar, former corporator Mukit Kazi, and youth leader Sanjay Tanna echoed the call, stressing development, stability and strong leadership at the municipal level.

“The response from people shows that voters want decisive governance and clear leadership,” said Syed Akbar, pointing to the large turnout of citizens, office-bearers and grassroots workers who participated in the rally.
