New Delhi [India], August 10: Last night, the fashion scene was electrified as Sidharth Malhotra walked the runway for designers Shantnu & Nikhil, reviving 70s glamour at The Piano Man in Delhi.
The event was a nostalgic tribute to the disco era, featuring bold prints and classic style. The designer duo showcased their 2024 couture collection, infused with the vibrant spirit of the 70s.
Sidharth Malhotra, the star of the evening, captivated the audience in a striking velvet blazer paired with a vintage ruffle shirt. He further dazzled the crowd with an unexpected dance performance on stage.
His mother and brother were present in the audience, sharing in the excitement of the night.
The runway was a vibrant display of retro fashion, with models donning bell bottoms, ruffled shirts, glittery gowns, disco dresses, and retro sunglasses—all echoing the iconic 70s style.
Shantnu & Nikhil masterfully combined classic and contemporary elements, using luxurious fabrics like silk velvets and sequins alongside modern materials such as faux leather and bespoke Italian suiting. The collection featured a refreshed take on the classic Paisley motif, appearing in embroidered leather and other captivating forms.
The show began with a graceful appearance by the legendary Zeenat Aman, adding a touch of timeless elegance. Actor-singer Saba Azad enhanced the retro atmosphere with a dynamic performance, while Imaad Shah, son of Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, provided guitar accompaniment in the background.
